In the chapter “The Founding Fathers: A Reform Caucus in Action” John P. Roche starts off by saying that is James Madison was still alive he would be president of the Ford Industry and Alexander Hamilton would be chair of the the committee for economic development. Roche qualifies the founding fathers as great contributors. Roche claims that the way in which the constitution was made is very democratic, this is something he also said about the way the states, economy, and politics were formed. Throughout, this chapter he is just trying to demonstrate that there is nothing wrong with the way the constitution built our democracy. This is shown by stating that the motives of the founders wasn’t unfair and had a aim which was to demonstrate the prosperity of the states.
